Invitation to Confession

When we say, “we don’t sin,” we deny who we are. But when we say, “there’s no way out,” we deny who God is. Trusting that God’s grace is more powerful than our sin, let us confess our sins together.

 Prayer of Confession

Patient God, you call and call
and we come up with every excuse in the book
why we can’t answer,
at least not right now.

Forgive our fear.

Remind us that when we answer your call,
we will not be sent out alone,
but filled with your gifts,
surrounded by your children,
and held in your love.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ,
our Rock and Redeemer. Amen.

Hear the good news!
God is in the business of breaking chains.
Jesus is out looking for the lost sheep.
The Spirit is itching to renew our lives.
We are forgiven and we are free! Alleluia! Amen.
